Sources and bias labels

These are the outlets we read. Each carries a bias label, based on the broad consensus of independent media-bias ratings, which we group into left (L, LC), centre (N) and right (RC, R). The labels describe an outlet's overall editorial lean, not any single article; our comparison of how each side tells a story comes from reading the articles themselves. Under each outlet is who owns it.
