The story, neutrally told

Centre · 2Aldar Properties has agreed to buy nine residential buildings in Sharjah's Aljada development from developer Arada for Dh1.1 billion (about $290 million), its first real estate investment in Sharjah. Centre · 2The forward-purchase agreement covers three residential blocks and more than 1,100 units, with delivery scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2029, Aldar said on Thursday. Centre · 2The deal expands Aldar's develop-to-hold pipeline to Dh21 billion, and the homes are aimed mainly at end users and long-term renters seeking housing at accessible prices in an established community.

Centre · 2Aldar group chief executive Talal Al Dhiyebi called Sharjah "a large and growing residential market" and said Aljada offered an attractive entry point that adds scale to the company's residential-for-rent portfolio. Centre · 2Arada group chief executive Ahmed Alkhoshaibi described the deal as a "strong vote of confidence" in Aljada and Sharjah's residential market, and said the companies would look for further opportunities to work together. Centre · 2The purchase follows a Dh15 billion development partnership between the two companies announced last month. The National reports that it covers projects in Abu Dhabi, including a mixed-use community at Seih Sdeirah and three residential plots on Yas Island, and marked Arada's entry into Abu Dhabi.

Centre · 2According to Arada, Aljada spans 2.2 million square metres and is expected to hold about 25,000 homes when fully built, with an anticipated gross sales value of Dh35 billion. Handovers began in 2021, and more than 8,800 homes have been delivered. Centre · 1The National adds that Arada is a joint venture between KBW Investments, controlled by Saudi Arabia's Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed, and Sharjah-based Basma Group. It also reports that Aldar plans to launch a villa and townhouse development near Dubai Silicon Oasis by the end of the year, and expects to hand over more than 3,000 units this year and 4,500 next year.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
