The story, neutrally told

Left · 1The second season of All's Fair, a legal drama from producer Ryan Murphy, has been released and reviewed in the UK press. Left · 1The show stars Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts and Glenn Close as lawyers at an all-female California divorce firm, with Sarah Paulson as their rival lawyer Carrington Lane. Left · 1The Guardian's Lucy Mangan awards the season one star, after giving the first season none, and says it has "slightly improved" while remaining "absolutely ludicrous".

Left · 1Mangan describes an opening episode built around a "scorpion ball" hosted by Kardashian's character Allura, with Adele and Bruno Mars booked to perform, plus a divorce case involving a magazine empire and invisible ink. Left · 1She sees possible self-awareness in the script, including a Close line about vengeance and a reference to Allura failing the California bar exam on a first attempt, as Kardashian did last year, and says the show is "groping its way towards 'so bad it's good' territory". Left · 1The Independent's roundup of reviews, by Kevin E G Perry, is headlined as saying the Kim Kardashian drama has been compared to purgatory.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
