The story, neutrally told

Mixed · 2Apple TV released the first trailer for season two of Stick, its golf comedy-drama starring Owen Wilson, on Thursday 8 October. Mixed · 2Season two premieres with its first two episodes on Wednesday 4 November, and the remaining eight episodes follow one per week until 30 December. Left · 1Wilson plays Pryce Cahill, an ex-pro golfer whose career was derailed two decades ago and whose future hinges on a 17-year-old golf phenom, Santi (Peter Dager); the series was created by showrunner Jason Keller.

Mixed · 2Apple's synopsis says that in season two Santi takes the next step toward professional golf, while Pryce, urged on by former rival Clark Ross (Timothy Olyphant), bets on himself and attempts a comeback aiming to become the oldest golfer ever to win a major. Mixed · 2Rhea Seehorn joins as a new coach, Amanda, and Marc Maron plays caddie Mitts; Mariana Treviño, Lilli Kay and Judy Greer return. Left · 1The Hollywood Reporter adds that John Higgins, Billy Zane, Rex Linn, Sasha Alexander and Missi Pyle also join the cast, and lists executive producers including Ben Silverman and Guymon Casady.

Centre · 1Collider says Apple renewed Stick on the day of the season one finale, and places the show alongside Ted Lasso, whose fourth season it says just wrapped.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
