The story, neutrally told

Ariana Madix, host of Peacock's Love Island USA, is set to star in Future Housewives, a drama series in development at Peacock. She will also executive produce, and the project is the first scripted one from her new production company, Over Fences. The official logline places the story in an asteroid colony called New Beverly Hills, where wealthy socialites face upheaval when a young outsider arrives, in what it calls a satirical reinvention of reality TV.

Brannon Braga, known for Star Trek series and The Orville, will write and executive produce alongside Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins. Jaron Lanier is co-executive producer, and Universal Global Television is the studio. Madix rose to fame on Bravo's Vanderpump Rules and has since appeared in St. Denis Medical and Will Trent and on Broadway in Chicago and Just in Time.

Outlets differ on details such as the length of her Vanderpump Rules run, which Variety gives as 11 years and TVLine as 10 seasons.
