The story, neutrally told

Centre · 1ASML forecast fourth-quarter 2026 net sales of €14.2 billion to €15.2 billion ($15.9 billion to $17.0 billion), above analyst expectations, with a gross margin of around 57 per cent. Centre · 1Analysts polled by LSEG had expected sales of €14.19 billion and a gross margin of 55.4 per cent. Centre · 2ASML narrowed its 2026 outlook. Anadolu reported it now expects annual net sales of €44 billion to €45 billion, up at the lower end from a previous €43 billion to €45 billion.

Centre · 1Anadolu reported third-quarter net profit of €4.96 billion ($5.55 billion), which exceeded analysts' expectations, while net sales of €11.66 billion were slightly below expectations. Centre · 2ASML said AI-driven demand for its chip-printing tools is so strong that it will not be able to fully meet customer demand in 2027 or 2028, and it is looking at ways to expand capacity further. Centre · 2In July the company said it would raise capacity by 30 per cent in 2027 and again by 30 per cent in 2028; it is now examining expansion for 2028 beyond that.

Centre · 1CEO Christophe Fouquet said discussions with customers are shifting beyond 2027, with "a lot of order intake for 2028" and strong interest in placing orders for 2029 and sometimes even 2030. Centre · 1Fouquet said customers continue to raise their short- and medium-term equipment demand forecasts, mainly reflecting expectations for the scale and duration of AI investment. Centre · 1Anadolu added context: ASML is the sole producer of extreme ultraviolet lithography machines; TSMC and Samsung committed during the quarter to its next-generation High NA EUV machines; it kept its forecast that China will be 20% of sales; and it faces export restrictions on EUV and some deep ultraviolet systems to China.

Framing
Both outlets treat it as an earnings and guidance story. CNA leads with the beat against analyst forecasts and capacity limits; Anadolu leads with the raised full-year outlook and customer interest through 2030.
Emphasis
AI-driven demand, the guidance versus LSEG consensus, capacity limits for 2027-28, and orders stretching to 2029-30. Anadolu adds profit, China and export-control context.
Leaves out or plays down
CNA's pieces leave out third-quarter results and China exposure. Anadolu does not give the analyst consensus for Q4 sales or the gross margin guidance.
Charged language
“so strong”
For example
“forecast fourth-quarter sales above analyst expectations, as AI-driven demand for its chipmaking equipment remains strong” — CNA
“saying strong artificial intelligence demand was prompting some customers to express interest in orders for 2029 and 2030.” — Anadolu Agency
