The story, neutrally told

Mixed · 2Avatar: Seven Havens has been renewed for two more seasons, Books 3 and 4, at Paramount+, announced at the show's New York Comic-Con panel on Friday 9 October, the day its first episodes were released. Mixed · 2The panel also revealed that an animated series, Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos, has been ordered at Paramount+. Avatar co-creator Bryan Konietzko will be its showrunner, and Avatar Studios and Nickelodeon Animation Studios produce it. Mixed · 2Per the streamer's description, it follows a rebellious teenage Avatar who rejects thousands of years of tradition to learn the four elements through globetrotting adventures while staying ahead of his angry teacher, pirates and chaotic spirits. Kuruk is the Water Tribe Avatar who lived three generations before Aang.

Centre · 2No premiere date or casting has been announced for the Kuruk series. A first look at the character and his pet Nikik was shown as artwork. Mixed · 2Seven Havens follows Pavi, a young Earthbender who learns she is the Avatar after Korra in a world shattered by a cataclysm, where the title makes her seen as humanity's destroyer. Paramount+ said Books 3 and 4 will continue the story of Pavi and her twin sister Nisha. Mixed · 2The first three episodes of Book 1 arrived on 9 October, with further episodes on the following Fridays through 30 October. Book 2 has no announced premiere date, and details on later books are to follow.

Mixed · 2The panel included creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, executive producer Ethan Spaulding, co-executive producer Sehaj Sethi and voice actors Saheli Khan, Aishu Devan and Major Curda, and was moderated by Janet Varney, the voice of Korra. Centre · 2Collider noted that Seven Havens had already been renewed for a second season, and said the Books 3 and 4 order came after only three episodes had been released. It put the renewal in the context of a year in which the film Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender leaked online before release. Screen Rant said that film is Certified Fresh at 90% and that Seven Havens holds 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
