Left · 2Both outlets count it as Ansari's fifth Netflix special, following Buried Alive (2013), Live at Madison Square Garden (2015), Right Now (2019) and Nightclub Comedian (2022); Variety adds that it is his seventh stand-up special overall, after 2010's Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening and 2012's Dangerously Delicious. Club says that series ran on the platform for three seasons from 2015 to 2021.

Left · 1The A.V. Club describes the special as a return to form after his film Good Fortune drew somewhat middling reviews, and notes his recent Saturday Night Live turn lampooning FBI director Kash Patel and his ongoing Hypothetical Tour, with dates in New York State this weekend.
