Mixed · 2Reports say BBC executives are considering reviving the sitcom Miranda, either as a one-off special or as a fourth series. Mixed · 2The claim comes from an unnamed source quoted by The Sun, and both the Daily Mail and Radio Times relay it from there. Mixed · 2The source said there was "a real appetite for more Miranda", that a new generation had discovered Hart through the show, and that there had been conversations among bosses about a return.

Mixed · 2The BBC declined to comment when approached by both outlets, so nothing has been confirmed. Right · 1The renewed interest follows Hart's appearance on the current series of The Celebrity Traitors. Hart was "murdered" in Friday night's episode by the Traitors Maya Jama, James Acaster and King Kenny. Right · 1In an exit interview, Hart described the appearance as the culmination of a "very hard road" back to television after long-term illness. The Daily Mail says Hart was diagnosed with ME (chronic fatigue syndrome) in 2024.

Mixed · 2Miranda ran from 2009 to 2015 and starred Tom Ellis and Sarah Hadland alongside Hart. It ended with a Christmas 2014 double special, the finale The Final Curtain airing on New Year's Day 2015. Centre · 1The full cast reunited for a live "Such Fun Celebration" in 2019, televised in 2020. Centre · 1Radio Times adds that Tom Ellis, who played Gary, recently told it he would be on board if Hart felt there was something worth revisiting, saying they still text and discuss the possibility.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
