The story, neutrally told

Season two of Celebrity Traitors starts on BBC One on Thursday 1 October, with Claudia Winkleman returning as host. On The Rest Is Entertainment podcast, Richard Osman said the contestants have not seen a cut of the show, which he said is unusual for such programmes. His co-host said the stars had asked for cuts but were not given them; the Express names her Miranda Hyde, while the Mail calls her Marina Hyde.

Osman said everyone is nervous because they are professionals who worry about which moments will be kept in. He added that he thinks everyone will be fine because of how Studio Lambert and the BBC make television. The Mail also reports the hosts discussing celebrities trying to shape their own storylines, and saying better-known contestants may have an advantage over younger, less well-known ones.

Several comedians are in the cast, and James Acaster said they may face suspicion and be the first under the magnifying glass. Rob Beckett said he would betray friends if the game required it. Digital Spy, citing The Sun, reports that Channel 4 has reportedly cancelled Travel Man, which contestant Joe Lycett has hosted since 2021; it said it had asked Channel 4 for comment.

The edit reports rest on podcast remarks; none of the articles quotes the BBC or Studio Lambert responding.
