The story, neutrally told

Centre · 1A grey, custom-made Tom Ford suit worn by Daniel Craig as James Bond in the 2012 film Skyfall is leading a Propstore auction of Bond memorabilia, with a pre-sale estimate of £20,000 to £40,000. Centre · 1The suit comes with a matching branded shirt, a tie and cufflinks. Craig wore it in the opening sequence, in which Bond chases a villain across Istanbul, over rooftops and onto a moving train. Centre · 1The collection has 400 lots covering every film in the franchise, including costumes, rare posters, books and collectables. The auction is online only and open for bidding until 27 October to collectors worldwide.

Centre · 1Another lot is the navy plunging-neckline dress and heeled sandals that Ana de Armas wore as the agent Paloma in No Time To Die, estimated at £20,000 to £40,000. Centre · 1A complete set of 14 first-edition Ian Fleming Bond books published by Jonathan Cape, rebound in leather, will be sold as one lot with the same £20,000 to £40,000 estimate. Centre · 1Alastair McCrea, Propstore's director of consignments, said he had loved curating the collection and that Bond has meant something to generations of film fans. He said the company was sharing it as fans mark Bond Day this week. Mixed · 2Craig stepped down from the role after No Time To Die in 2021. The Irish Independent ran the same story under a near-identical headline.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
