Centre · 2Wahlberg said Selleck takes the show's legacy and the character of Frank Reagan seriously, and that Selleck has been "very supportive" of him and Boston Blue, though "a perfectionist on set every single day."

Centre · 1Will Estes, who played Danny's brother Jamie Reagan, will appear in a Season 2 episode; Wahlberg told TVLine their reunion was "very healing ... and wonderful ... and emotional."

Centre · 1Boston Blue premiered on CBS in 2025, is in its second season, and also stars Sonequa Martin-Green as Detective Lena Silver.
