Mixed · 2The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly replacing quarterback Tanner McKee with Joe Milton for Sunday's Week 9 game against the New York Giants. Mixed · 2The change reverses earlier public support from head coach Nick Sirianni, who said on Monday the team was sticking with McKee. Mixed · 2McKee started the last three games, all losses, and the Eagles scored just 45 points in that stretch, according to Newsweek.

Centre · 1Philadelphia has lost six straight and sits at the bottom of the NFC East at 2-6. Mixed · 2McKee took over after Jalen Hurts was ruled out, likely for the rest of the season, after being diagnosed with multiple blood clots. Mixed · 2Milton, a 2024 sixth-round pick of the New England Patriots, was traded to the Dallas Cowboys in April 2025 and signed with the Eagles from the Cowboys' practice squad on Oct. 16; he has not played for Philadelphia, and Sunday is expected to be his first NFL start.

Mixed · 2The outlets give different career totals for Milton: IJR says he has completed 37 of 53 passes for 424 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in five appearances, while Newsweek lists one rookie game and four with Dallas, going 15-for-24 for 183 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the Dallas games. Centre · 1Newsweek quoted Eagles reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks calling the decision "kind of a shocking move," and noted the Giants lead the NFC East at 4-2-1 after a Week 8 bye.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
