The story, neutrally told

Centre · 2Emmerdale producer Sophie Roper told Inside Soap that Sadie King's return storyline is heading for a major conclusion, saying: "we are building to the end point and a big denouement for that character." Centre · 2Roper called the return "a phenomenal return to the show" and said Sadie's momentum and impact on villagers will keep growing, with "incredible, exciting twists and turns, and a lot of unexpected revelations." Centre · 2Patsy Kensit, who plays Sadie, reprised the role last month. Digital Spy says she will be filming the ITV soap until December, while Radio Times says the character will be on screen into 2027.

Centre · 2Since returning, Sadie has caused trouble in the village. She came back to pay tribute to her late ex-husband Jimmy King and implied she had been in a secret relationship with him for three years. Digital Spy also lists clashes with Kim Tate. Centre · 2This week Jimmy's widow Nicola King looks set to discover that Sadie has been manipulating her; Radio Times says she will hear telling voice notes before Jimmy's funeral. Centre · 2Next week, Joe Tate, who wants revenge over the death of his fiancée Dawn, asks Sadie to help destroy the marriage of Ruby and Caleb Miligan, and she plans to seduce Caleb. Digital Spy says she finds this harder than expected because Caleb is loyal to Ruby.

Centre · 1Roper also said Sadie's ex-lover Cain has seen her at her most genuine, in a scene last month where she said she had been pregnant with his baby when she left the Dales but suffered a miscarriage. Centre · 1Radio Times adds that, "if reports are to be believed", Sadie will fake her own death in her final storyline. The producer's quotes do not confirm this, and the ending has not been officially detailed.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
