Left · 2Fox Nation has scheduled the three-part series "Houdini: Back from the Dead" to debut on 14 October, ahead of the 100th anniversary of Harry Houdini's death on 31 October 1926. Left · 2The series tells Houdini's life through an AI-generated Houdini persona who appears as a documentary subject answering questions in an interview, using words drawn from his diaries, books, letters and other correspondence. Left · 2Red Rock Films produced the series using more than 400 licensed photographs and archival footage; human actors stood in for Houdini, his wife Bess and others, and AI transformed their appearance.

Left · 2The scripts were written by humans and historical claims were backed by archival research and expert review, while the characters' voices are a mix of human and AI-generated voices, according to Variety. Left · 2Fox Nation says it is its first long-form production to rely entirely on AI-generated imagery, and Variety describes it as the Fox News banner's first foray into fully AI-generated content, a sector it calls controversial and one most news outlets have avoided.
