Gail Lerner fired as showrunner of NBC sitcom Newlyweds before its Oct. 23 premiere

Co-creator Gail Lerner said on Instagram she was fired from NBC's Newlyweds two weeks before its premiere, citing "creative differences". NBC confirmed that reason, according to Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.
