The story, neutrally told

Centre · 2Ghosts will bring back Matt Walsh as Elias, the demonic robber-baron ex-husband of Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky), for its 100th episode in season 6. Centre · 2The news came from a New York Comic Con panel with Utkarsh Ambudkar, Rebecca Wisocky, Sheila Carrasco, Devan Chandler Long and co-showrunner Joe Wiseman. Centre · 2The 100th episode is meta: it centres on the ghosts' favourite reality series, "It's Getting Hot in Here", filming an episode at the mansion.

Centre · 2Survivor alum Parvati Shallow will guest star as host of the raunchy, Love Island-inspired series. Centre · 1Screen Rant notes that Walsh's Elias has appeared roughly once per season, and that Elias has become more demonic and evil as the series has gone on. Centre · 1Collider also reported other season 6 plans: a Hangover-inspired episode, "Woodstoned", in which Jay, Kyle and Mark piece together the previous night after Flower's ghost power gets them high; a later episode revealing a piece of Flower's backstory; and a storyline in which the living residents try to profit from Nancy's fame as the Lost Princess of Bedford, making Hetty jealous.

Centre · 1Season 6 opens with a one-hour Halloween special on CBS on October 29 at 9 PM ET, followed by a one-hour Christmas special on December 10; the rest of the season returns at midseason with no official date yet. Centre · 1Screen Rant says the main season won't start airing until early 2027, with the two holiday specials bridging the gap, and mentions audience disappointment at the late return.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
