Mixed · 2Hear'Say and Liberty X have announced a joint arena tour of the UK and Ireland in 2027, marking 25 years since the two groups were formed on the TV talent show Popstars. Centre · 1The Evening Standard says the tour is titled Popstars: The Originals and begins in April in Dublin. It then visits Belfast, Bournemouth, Nottingham, Brighton, Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow, London, Manchester and Liverpool. Mixed · 2Tickets go on general sale on Friday 16 October; the Evening Standard gives the time as 9am.

Mixed · 2Four original Hear'Say members are taking part: Danny Foster, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw and Noel Sullivan. Myleene Klass is not. Liberty X return with their full original line-up of Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor, Tony Lundon, Kevin Simm and Kelli Young. Right · 1The Hear'Say reunion was first revealed around 1 October, when a new Instagram band account posted a WhatsApp chat between Marsh, Shaw, Foster and Sullivan ending with the question "Fancy getting the band back together?". The Daily Mail noted the post came 24 years to the day after the group announced their split. Right · 1On Wednesday 7 October, Shaw and Marsh were photographed arriving at the Global building in rain to appear on Heart FM, their first public outing since the reunion was announced, according to the Daily Mail.

Right · 1Klass said on Loose Women that her bandmates had included her in discussions but that she could not commit because of her busy schedule. She said she had not ruled out revisiting Hear'Say and would be front row when they perform. Right · 1In a statement, Hear'Say called the comeback "incredibly special" and a chance to celebrate "an unforgettable chapter". Liberty X said they were "thrilled to be heading out on tour". Centre · 1Speaking to the Press Association, Marsh said the reunions are "going to be emotional". Shaw said Hear'Say had "not sung together for 25 years". Taylor of Liberty X said they were doing it "for fun and for celebration" without the pressure they faced as young people.

Mixed · 2Background: Hear'Say were among the earliest major UK TV-created pop groups, formed through ITV's Popstars in 2000-01. Their debut single Pure and Simple reached No1, selling 549,823 copies in its first week, which the Mail says was a record at the time. Liberty X were formed from five other finalists. Hear'Say split in 2002.
