The story, neutrally told

Right · 1President Isaac Herzog on Monday 26 October received the credentials of new ambassadors to Israel from Austria, France, Ghana, the Netherlands and Rwanda, in a series of ceremonies at the President's Residence in Jerusalem. Right · 1The envoys are Maj. Gen. Emmanuel Bayingana of Rwanda, Christophe Parisot of France, Arad Benkö of Austria, Stella Ronner-Grubačić of the Netherlands and Evelyn Korantemaa Ofosu-Amable of Ghana. Right · 1The Jerusalem Post reported that the ceremonies came the day before elections, and that Herzog had set aside efforts to promote a national unity government to hold them. It said these were the last ambassadors to present credentials under the current government and would serve out their terms under the next one.

Right · 1According to the presidency, Herzog and Parisot discussed the historical ties between Israel and France, and Herzog affirmed the "importance of overcoming the challenges in these relations, reinvigorating bilateral ties across a range of fields, and building a new path forward." Right · 1The Jerusalem Post said neither Herzog nor Parisot pretended relations were rosy, though Parisot noted that people-to-people and cultural ties remained strong. The two also discussed unrest in France, Herzog recalled a time when relations were "amazing", and Parisot wrote in the guest book that they would devote all their energy to improving relations. Right · 1JNS gave background on the strain: ties have been tense since the Hamas-led attacks of 7 October 2023, and on 8 September France and 11 other countries said they would introduce or consider restrictions on trade with settlement goods. JNS also noted that French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot's 5 September remark that France had done more for the Palestinian cause than any other country since 7 October drew harsh criticism from Israelis and French Jews.

Right · 2With Rwanda's envoy, Herzog highlighted friendship and growing cooperation in innovation, agriculture, development and education; Bayingana said the ambassador would work to expand the relationship. Right · 2With Austria's envoy, Herzog praised cooperation and Austria's commitment to fighting antisemitism and to Holocaust remembrance. The Jerusalem Post added that Benkö was born in Haifa and that Michal Herzog, who seldom attends such ceremonies, joined the French and Austrian meetings. Right · 1The Jerusalem Post reported that Herzog told the Dutch ambassador relations were under strain and voiced concern over discourse from the Netherlands and some negative comments from its government. It also reported that Ghana's President John Mahama told Ofosu-Amable to uphold Ghana's longstanding commitment to a two-state solution.

Framing
Both Israeli outlets treat the event as a diplomatic courtesy ceremony, with Israel-France strain as the main thread. JNS leads on Herzog's call to overcome challenges with France, then adds background on French moves against settlement goods. The Jerusalem Post adds colour and the pre-election timing.
Emphasis
Herzog's remarks to each envoy, bilateral history, and the strain in ties with France and the Netherlands.
Leaves out or plays down
Neither gives the French or other embassies' own account of the meetings; the Post does not explain the French-Israeli dispute in detail, and JNS omits the Dutch and Ghanaian exchanges.
