Centre · 1Deadline reports that the performance began with Jackson standing still for two minutes, and that it was the first time the second half of a Super Bowl drew more viewers than the first. It adds that Fox had countered the 1992 halftime show with an "In Living Color" special that drew about 22 million viewers. Left · 1Variety says that before Jackson the slot was typically headlined by marching bands and past-their-prime artists, and that later acts included U2, Prince, Bruce Springsteen, Beyoncé and Bad Bunny.

Left · 1Variety also notes the film comes almost a year after Lionsgate's hit biopic "Michael", starring Jackson's nephew Jaafar Jackson, and that a sequel is in the works.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
