The story, neutrally told

Mixed · 2Hulu has ordered the drama Durango to series, with Cooper Hoffman and Kathryn Newton starring. Left · 2Merritt Wever, Mason Gooding and Abbey Lee have joined the cast. Mixed · 2The series order comes seven months after Hulu ordered a pilot in March; Eliza Clark, showrunner of Y: The Last Man, wrote the pilot and will be showrunner.

Left · 2Hoffman plays Mikey, a ski bum townie, and Newton plays Bunny, a homeschooled runaway working as a waitress; the logline says they are "riding an avalanche of bad decisions" while running from cops, criminals and Mikey's wife. Mixed · 2Wever plays Joni, a local detective with 20 years on the job in a resort town; Gooding plays Miles, a young detective; and Lee plays Irina, Mikey's Russian wife, who is seeking US citizenship. Mixed · 2Durango is a co-production of 20th Television and Media Res; Clark executive produces with Media Res' Michael Ellenberg and Christina Malach and American Light & Fixture's Josh Senior and Tyson Bidner, and The Bear creator Chris Storer is also an executive producer. Jesse Peretz directed and executive produced the pilot.

Mixed · 2The Hollywood Reporter says the show joins Hulu original dramas including The Testaments, Paradise, Furious, Good American Family and the upcoming The Land. Deadline places it among several recent Hulu pilot orders, noting that Foster Dade was passed on in May, Lex is about to go into production, and Ryan Coogler's The X-Files reboot was picked up to series earlier this week.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
