The story, neutrally told

Julianne Moore will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Rome Film Festival. The festival's 21st edition runs Oct. 13 to 25. Moore will be honored at the Italian premiere of 'The Debut', and Jesse Eisenberg, who directed the film, will present the prize.

Variety reports that the honor was announced in a statement by Salvatore Nastasi, president of the Fondazione Cinema per Roma, which oversees the event. The Hollywood Reporter says the film plays in the festival's Grand Public section. Moore won an Oscar for 'Still Alice', and both outlets list her best actress prizes at Cannes, Venice and Berlin.

In September, Moore received the Zurich Film Festival's Golden Icon Award as 'The Debut' launched internationally there, after it premiered at Telluride. In the film, Moore plays a meek housewife cast in a small community theatre production run by a domineering director; Variety's review praises Moore's performance, and The Hollywood Reporter calls the film a strong awards contender.
