The story, neutrally told

Kaye Adams will return to radio on 4 October, co-hosting a one-off Sunday Brunch show with broadcaster Shereen Nanjiani on STV Radio from 9am to 12pm. The pair will play favourite songs and discuss the stories behind them. It is Adams's first significant radio appearance since leaving BBC Radio Scotland, where they hosted the flagship morning programme for 15 years.

Adams was taken off the BBC programme last year, reportedly because of allegations about their behaviour. In an Instagram statement, Adams denied berating an intern and denied using a misogynistic slur 14 years ago, and said they were heartbroken that 15 years of work was being reduced to this. Adams also responded to an allegation of throwing a pencil while alone in an empty studio by saying "words fail me".

The BBC did not comment on the reason for the departure but confirmed Adams would not return to the role. Adams first joined STV as a reporter in 1988 and later presented Scotland Today and Scottish Women; both Adams and Nanjiani described the show as a reunion where their friendship began.
