The story, neutrally told

Mixed · 2Kurtley Beale has been recalled to the Wallabies squad for their tour of Britain, replacing midfielder Hunter Paisami, who is unavailable for personal reasons. Mixed · 2Beale has 95 Tests and last played for Australia against Wales in Cardiff in 2021; he was named in a Wallabies squad in 2024 before an Achilles injury ended his season. Mixed · 2Coach Les Kiss said in a statement that Beale's experience and versatility would be valuable, that he would primarily cover inside centre, and that he has been in great form for the Western Force in Super Rugby Pacific and Super Rugby AUS.

Left · 1ABC News reports that Kiss is looking at Beale as a possible number 10, the position the Wallabies have struggled to settle since 2015; Kiss's own quoted remarks refer to Beale as inside centre cover. Centre · 1Former Northampton Saints back James Ramm, who can play wing or fullback and will join Western Force next season, has also been added, while scrumhalf Kalani Thomas will join after Australia A commitments. Centre · 1Tate McDermott is expected to return home during November for the birth of his first child.

Mixed · 2The Wallabies play England at Twickenham on November 8, then Scotland and Wales, before the inaugural Nations Championship finals in the UK from November 21-23. Left · 1ABC places the move in the context of Australia's slide to seventh in the world rankings after losing the Bledisloe Cup for a 23rd straight year, and of next year's Rugby World Cup in Australia.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
