The story, neutrally told

Right · 1Léa Seydoux, the 41-year-old French actress, told ELLE UK that filming nude scenes a few months after giving birth to her second child was difficult, but that she is proud to show a real body. Right · 1The Daily Mail reports that she had her son in December 2024 and filmed a nude mirror scene in The Unknown (L'Inconnue) two months later, then shot Gentle Monster, which also has a nude scene. Right · 1She said it is important to see bodies audiences can relate to, which makes a film more believable.

Mixed · 2Seydoux, who played Dr Madeleine Swann in Spectre (2015) and No Time to Die (2021), also said the Bond franchise will not be the same under Amazon MGM, which bought the rights in 2025 for a reported $1bn. Mixed · 2She praised working with the former producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson as "a pure delight", and said of the franchise: "it will never be the same because it was Barbara's father who initiated the Bond movies. Now, I don't know, it became American. I hope they will keep the British spirit." Left · 1She called Denis Villeneuve, the incoming director, a "great choice" and said she was curious how they would reinvent the series.

Right · 1The Daily Mail adds that she said the new 007 needs to be a "layered" character, which could be "hard to find" in young actors. Right · 1In the same interview she discussed Blue Is The Warmest Colour, saying its shoot was "of another era" and problematic, and that it would not happen today. She and co-star Adèle Exarchopoulos have said they would not work again with its director, Abdellatif Kechiche. Mixed · 2The Bond role is still uncast publicly. Amazon MGM said earlier this year that "the search for the next James Bond is underway". Reported contenders include Jack Lowden, Callum Turner and Jack Barton.

Left · 1The Independent reports that screenwriter Steven Knight said on Radio 4's Today programme last month that the character had been cast. It adds that Rory Kinnear has heard nothing about the new film but expects some continuity. Right · 1The November issue of ELLE UK goes on sale on 8 October.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
