The story, neutrally told

Mixed · 2Edward Eisenhard, 38, is charged over alleged sexual assaults on three female victims, prosecutors in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, said at a news conference on Tuesday. Right · 1One alleged assault took place on September 25, the opening night of the Valley of Fear haunted hayride attraction, where Eisenhard worked. According to a criminal complaint, Eisenhard approached an employee working alone, grabbed her by the throat so that she had difficulty breathing, pinned her wrists above her head against a wall, made sexual comments and indecently assaulted her over her clothing. Left · 1The Independent reports that Eisenhard was on a break at the time and held the woman against her will until the break ended. It says Eisenhard was a supervisor with authority over staff and had worked at the attraction for roughly 10 seasons.

Right · 1Fox News says Valley of Fear fired Eisenhard the next day. It says that two days after the firing Eisenhard allegedly assaulted the same woman again at a Five Below store in Hilltown Township, where Eisenhard also worked. Mixed · 2The Independent instead describes the Five Below case as a separate alleged September 27 assault on a 19-year-old coworker in a stockroom. Fox News describes the victim as someone who, as the store's employee, was cleaning the stockroom when her boss restrained and assaulted her. The two outlets differ on whether this was the same woman. Mixed · 2Eisenhard was arrested on October 1 over the Five Below incident. District Attorney Joe Khan said investigators obtained a recorded phone confession from Eisenhard about it.

Mixed · 2The third case involves a child in Springfield Township. Fox News says investigators allege Eisenhard repeatedly abused a victim under 12 at a home, while the Independent says court documents describe the assault and molestation of a 12-year-old girl, with Eisenhard allegedly using a personal relationship with her family to enter her bedroom while she slept. Mixed · 2Khan called Eisenhard a "highly dangerous recidivistic sex offender" and said "there are real monsters in the world". Fox News says detectives found additional allegations at both workplaces and "strongly believe that there are additional victims". In the Independent's account, Khan said authorities were not speculating about further victims but would investigate any information brought forward, and he gave a tip line number, (215) 348-6345. Mixed · 2Eisenhard remains in jail after failing to post bail following the first arrest. Prosecutors plan to ask a judge to hold Eisenhard without bail, arguing that release would endanger the community. Fox News says the charges were upgraded on Thursday.

Mixed · 2The outlets also locate the attraction differently: Fox News places it in Feasterville and the Independent in Lower Southampton Township, about 20 miles northeast of Philadelphia. Fox News said it had asked Valley of Fear and Five Below for comment. The allegations are unproven.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
