The story, neutrally told

Mixed · 2Chef Marco Pierre White told The Times that the reason he did not speak to Gordon Ramsay for years was that Ramsay brought TV cameras to his wedding. Left · 1White said: "Would you be happy if I brought a camera crew to your wedding? Why bring it up? Let sleeping dogs lie. Not clever." Mixed · 2Ramsay had worked under White at White's London restaurant Harveys, and the two were close in the late 1980s before their relationship soured.

Mixed · 2White rejected several rumours about the split. He denied being angry that Ramsay left for Le Gavroche, saying he arranged that job himself: "Why would I f*** up his job if he was leaving?" Left · 1He also denied that the feud began over overcooked fish on Ramsay's last day, and said the words "dog s***" attributed to him over a blocked steamer "are not in my vocabulary". Left · 1White did confirm Ramsay's account that Ramsay cried on that final day at Harvey's: "That's true... Gordon cracked."

Mixed · 2The Standard said the pair have criticised each other in the press since, citing a 2012 interview in which Ramsay, now 59, called White, 64, "a little bit sad". The Independent noted that earlier this year White told The Louis Theroux Podcast that the two had buried the hatchet. Mixed · 2The two are reuniting with Heston Blumenthal for a three-part series, The Rise of the Rockstar Chef, made by Ramsay's production company; the Independent describes it as a BBC series. Left · 1White said he first turned down Ramsay's call to take part and agreed only if Jamie Oliver was dropped, citing Oliver's lack of Michelin stars; the Independent says White, Ramsay and Blumenthal each earned three.

Mixed · 2Both outlets said they had contacted Ramsay's representatives for comment; no response was reported.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
