The story, neutrally told

Mixed · 2AMC unveiled the trailer for season 3 of the horror series Mayfair Witches at New York Comic Con on Friday 9 October 2026 and announced its release date. Centre · 1The new season will premiere on 30 December 2026 on AMC and AMC+, according to Collider. Centre · 1The series is an adaptation of Anne Rice's Lives of the Mayfair Witches novels and stars Alexandra Daddario as Rowan Fielding, a neurosurgeon who learns she is the scion of an ancient family of witches.

Mixed · 2In the trailer, Rowan heads to Salem, Massachusetts, where she must deal with a new coven of witches that threatens her and everyone she cares about; The Hollywood Reporter's headline calls the season 'Mayfair Witches: Salem Coven'. Centre · 1Collider says the trailer shows new cast members including Betsy Brandt, James Frain, Eliza Scanlen and Omar Maskati. Centre · 1Collider recaps that last season ended with Lasher (Jack Huston) apparently dead, but with the malevolent spirit of Julien Mayfair (Ted Levine) now possessing Cortland Mayfair's body, and an even deadlier evil possibly unleashed.

Mixed · 2Collider places the show in AMC's Immortal Universe alongside The Vampire Lestat (formerly Interview with the Vampire) and the cancelled Talamasca: The Secret Order; The Hollywood Reporter calls it the Anne Rice Universe. Left · 1The Hollywood Reporter reports that the announcement came in AMC Global Media's two-hour Friday panel, which also teased the new series Kill Jackie, starring Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Yaga, led by Carrie-Anne Moss. Left · 1The panel also previewed the fourth and final season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, due in February, with new footage and a teaser trailer.
