The story, neutrally told

PMK Entertainment has named veteran communications executive Erik Bright as executive vice president of content and strategic communications. Based in Los Angeles, Bright will oversee PMK's bicoastal content publicity team, which handles film and TV campaigns, and will take a leadership role in the firm's global strategic communications practice. He reports to Dennis Dembia, PMK's president of strategic communications.

Bright spent the past 16 years as president and CEO of Prodigy Public Relations, the boutique agency he founded (in 2009, per Variety), and will move its content and corporate business portfolio into PMK. PMK CEO Cindi Berger said Bright brings "an exceptional combination of creative vision, deep industry relationships and strategic communications expertise" and that his record of building an agency makes him "a tremendous addition to our leadership team." Dembia said he has known Bright for many years, praised his "resolute" commitment to clients, and said leaders like him create "leverageable strategic efficiencies" as PMK pursues new opportunities across entertainment, media and sports.

PMK president Alan Nierob said Bright strengthens both the content team and the strategic communications practice, according to The Hollywood Reporter; Bright said he had long admired PMK and that it offers the scale and resources to take his work further. His career spans more than 25 years (per Variety), with campaigns including Crash, Sideways, Little Miss Sunshine, Margin Call and Hamnet; earlier he was a partner and vice president at Insignia PR and Media Strategies and began at Eddie Michaels & Associates. PMK became PMK Entertainment when it joined Michael Nyman's Acceleration Community of Companies in November 2025, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
