The story, neutrally told

Centre · 2Xbox chief strategy officer Matthew Ball said in a post on Twitter/X that Grand Theft Auto VI will not be available for exclusive streaming and will not be streamed on PC, countering earlier reports of an Xbox streaming deal. Centre · 2Ball's post said Xbox is looking forward to launching GTA VI on Xbox on 19 November and attributed the earlier reports to excitement around the game. Centre · 2Earlier reports had said Microsoft had agreed to exclusive GTA VI streaming through Xbox Cloud Gaming; Radio Times attributes one such report to The Verge, and Screen Rant says it first learned of Ball's post via IXBT Games.

Centre · 2Both outlets note that the game has no PC release date: it launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S on 19 November, with a PC port expected later, and Screen Rant says Rockstar has said nothing about its plans for a PC version. Centre · 2The outlets read the statement differently in detail: Radio Times calls it vague and says it seems to mean any streaming deal applies only to consoles, while Screen Rant says it implies both Xbox and PlayStation console players may be able to stream the game in some form. Centre · 1Radio Times adds that Microsoft announced changes to Xbox Cloud Gaming a month earlier, with monthly hour caps from November of 15 hours for Game Pass Ultimate, 10 for Premium and five for Essential; it says it is unknown whether the changes relate to GTA 6.

Centre · 1Screen Rant says pre-orders are live and that the game launches with single-player first, with multiplayer arriving some weeks later; it expects no PC news in the first year after launch, which is its own speculation.
