The story, neutrally told

Mixed · 2'In a Violent Nature: Part 2' has been given a release date of 12 February 2027, the Valentine's Day weekend. Mixed · 2The date was announced at Shudder's New York Comic Con panel, where Ry Barrett, who plays the masked killer Johnny, made a surprise appearance. Collider says the announcement came on Saturday evening. Mixed · 2The sequel is again a partnership between Shudder and Independent Film Company, and IndieWire notes it opens opposite Greta Gerwig's 'Narnia' movie.

Mixed · 2The original 2024 film told the story from the killer's perspective, following an undead Johnny who stalks a group of friends after they take a locket from his resting place; IndieWire says it made $4.5 million globally. Mixed · 2The sequel picks up immediately after the first film and sends Johnny to a summer camp, where a young outcast must spend the night with his counselor sister and her friends at their annual end-of-season party. Mixed · 2Nate Wilson and Chris Nash co-directed and wrote it; producers are Peter Kuplowsky, Shannon Hanmer and Nash. Collider lists Lucas Nguyen, Olivia Scriven, Laurie Babin, Fionn Laird, Donald MacLean Jr. and Evan Mars alongside Barrett in the cast.

Mixed · 2The film was teased in February 2026 and screened as a work-in-progress cut at Fantastic Fest last month. Collider reports it holds a 60% Rotten Tomatoes score from ten reviews, with critics praising the kills but saying it falls short of the original.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
