The story, neutrally told

Centre · 2Christopher Chung, who plays Roddy Ho in Slow Horses, has said he would like to see Ingrid Tearney, played by Sophie Okonedo, return to the show. Centre · 2Chung made the comments in an interview with Radio Times, and Digital Spy later reported them. Centre · 2Season 6 has brought back several earlier characters: Olivia Cooke as Sid Baker, Rosalind Eleazar as Louisa Guy, Hugo Weaving as Frank Harkness, Joanna Scanlan as Moira Tregorian and Paul Higgins as Struan Loy.

Centre · 2Chung said the show's history lets viewers reward long-term loyalty, and that seeing Higgins return as Struan after season 1 was "so brilliant". Centre · 1Radio Times notes that Tearney was MI5's First Desk from seasons 1 to 3 and was ousted at the end of season 3 by her Second Desk, Diana Taverner. Claude Whelan, played by James Callis, replaced her for seasons 4 and 5, and Taverner took the top job after that. Centre · 2Both outlets say season 7 has finished filming. Radio Times says production on season 8 is underway, while Digital Spy says season 8 is in development.

Centre · 2Radio Times adds that it is unclear where the show goes after that, because the adaptation will have used all of Mick Herron's published mainline novels. Digital Spy says it is yet to be seen whether Chung will get the wish, and reports that season 6 has a 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 35 reviews.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
