The story, neutrally told

Sony has set release dates for two 2027 films: Ridley Scott's Treasure Island on Nov. 11 and comedy sequel 24 Jump Street on Dec. 10. Treasure Island stars Hugh Jackman, with Scott directing from a screenplay by Jack Thorne. 24 Jump Street brings back Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Ice Cube; Collider says the Dec. 10 date falls a week before Avengers: Secret Wars and The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum on Dec. 17.

Rodney Rothman directs 24 Jump Street, with Phil Lord and Chris Miller returning as producers, according to Variety. Sony moved the video game adaptation Helldivers from Nov. 10, 2027 to June 9, 2028. Sony also confirmed Alan Ritchson in the film, directed by Justin Lin, after Jason Momoa departed; Screen Rant says Momoa left for unknown reasons.

Other changes: The Surgeon is dated April 2, 2027, Narcs Aug. 20, 2027, and Grandgear moves to Jan. 14, 2028 from Feb. 18, 2028.
