The story, neutrally told

Mixed · 2Four content funds set up jointly by the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) and local companies presented the projects they have backed in a showcase at the Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF) on 8 November 2026. Mixed · 2According to Variety, TAICCA chair Sue Wang said the agency and its partners have invested in 27 projects worth NT$5.64 billion ($180 million) in total, made up of NT$740 million from the agency and NT$4.9 billion in private capital; Wang said the joint-venture model allows more professional and precise investment assessments. Mixed · 2Enjoy Entertainment, established by TAICCA, Far EasTone Telecommunications and Far Reach Entertainment, has made 15 investments. They include "Our Blues", a Taiwanese remake of the Korean series that premieres on Netflix on 3 December, the horror film "The Rope Curse 4: Kuntilanak", and the musical "Don't Cry, Dancing Girls".

Mixed · 2Both outlets report that "The Rope Curse 4" took about NT$80 million in Taiwan; Variety calls this a franchise record, and Deadline quotes Far EasTone's Gary Tsai saying it has also been released in Malaysia and Indonesia, with Cambodia to follow. Mixed · 2Enjoy's other projects include the ID. Music Festival (which Variety says was developed with Spotify), the concert "Her Voice", and an immersive exhibition for illustrator Jimmy Liao; Variety adds that "Don't Cry, Dancing Girls" was billed at the event as the first Taiwanese musical to reach Off-Broadway. Mixed · 2The Momomini Kids Content Fund, backed by TAICCA, the Fubon Cultural & Educational Foundation and DaWin Creative, has made six investments in children's content, including "Who's Our Sub Today?", "Feifei", "Mogu & Perol" (a collaboration with France's Zephyr) and the drama "Hello Mr President", which Deadline says is in post-production and airs from January.

Left · 1Variety adds that the drama won an Excellent Screenplay Award from Taiwan's Ministry of Culture, that "Mogu & Perol" has 39 episodes including six or seven on Hakka culture, and that COO Phoebe Tsai said children's content had not previously been treated as a distinct investment category in Taiwan. Mixed · 2Joint Journey Creative, a joint venture of SET Group, TAICCA, Chunghwa Telecom and Japan's The Far Eastern TV Entertainment, invests in transmedia and IP development and has joined the production committee for Japanese drama "Midnight Diner", including season six; Variety also lists the Taiwanese films "The Damp", "All Money Back My Home" and "Suffocation". Mixed · 2The Chunghwa Digital Cultural and Creative Fund, set up by TAICCA, Chunghwa Telecom and E.Sun, has capital of about NT$1 billion; Chunghwa Telecom holds 64%, TAICCA 30%, E.Sun 5% and CDCC Capital Management 1%.

Mixed · 2It makes equity investments in DaMou Entertainment (producer of "The World Between Us") and Horiza Creations, and backs projects including "C'est la Vie", produced by and starring Esther Liu, "Call of Lobster" and the band Shallow Levée's "Speak in Silence". Mixed · 2The outlets differ on some details: Deadline says Enjoy has made its 15 investments in one year since launch, while Variety says 15 in its first 10 months; Variety attributes "Speak in Silence" to both Enjoy and Chunghwa, while Deadline lists it under Chunghwa and Enjoy's slate separately; and the Chunghwa fund's NT$1 billion is given as about $30 million by Deadline and $32 million by Variety.
