The story, neutrally told

Mixed · 2Take That have been confirmed as performers at the Earthshot Prize 2026 Awards Night, which is due to take place in Mumbai on 17 November. Mixed · 2It will be the band's first performance in India. They now perform as a trio of Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald. Mixed · 2In a statement, the group said they had performed in many places over 35 years but India was "somewhere we've always dreamed of bringing our music", and that music "has an exquisite way of bringing people together".

Mixed · 2The ceremony will be hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and is expected to have 5,000 guests. Singer Shreya Ghoshal will perform, and the guest list includes actor Rami Malek, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Sonam Kapoor, and Bridgerton's Simone Ashley. Mixed · 2Indian composer Shashwat Sachdev will close the show with a finale. GB News says he will play music from his catalogue Shades of Cashmere. His credits include Dhurandhar and its 2026 sequel, and a collaboration with Hans Zimmer on the theme for the BBC series Virdee. Right · 1GB News reports that Earthshot chief executive Jason Knauf called it the "biggest and best Earthshot Prize Awards Night yet". It also reports that the event is sponsored by the Serum Institute of India and will stream globally on Prime Video for the first time, in more than 240 countries and territories.

Mixed · 2Fifteen finalists are competing, and five winners will be announced, one in each category. Each will receive £1 million, according to GB News. The Standard says Prince William founded the prize to recognise and scale up ideas to repair the planet. Mixed · 2The performance falls close to the release of the band's new album Dreamers. The Standard says it follows 2023's This Life and is due a few days after the ceremony. GB News calls it the tenth studio album, due on 20 November, and describes the gap as "three days before" the release even though 17 November is three days earlier than 20 November, so the date relationship is stated inconsistently. Centre · 1Take That formed in Manchester in 1989, split in 1996 and reformed in 2006, according to the Standard.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
