The story, neutrally told

Centre · 1Titus Welliver will return as Harry Bosch by narrating the audiobook of The Hollow, Michael Connelly's new Bosch novel, which is due out in the United States on October 27. Centre · 1Print, ebook and audiobook editions arrive the same day in the US, and the UK hardcover follows on November 5. Centre · 1Welliver will share narration with Cameron Monaghan, who is also set to play the younger Bosch in MGM+'s Bosch: Start of Watch.

Centre · 1Collider describes the plot: Bosch's half-brother, defence attorney Mickey Haller, tells him he is entitled to $400,000 from a multibillion-dollar class action settlement for former residents of MacLaren Children's Center, where Bosch lived as a boy after his mother's murder. Bosch says he wants justice rather than the money, and reopens the unsolved death of a fellow inmate, Chops, whose body was found in a hidden space under a staircase known as "the hollow". Centre · 2Welliver played Bosch for seven seasons of Bosch and three more of Bosch: Legacy, which ended in 2025. The universe continues on Prime Video through the spinoff Ballard, starring Maggie Q as detective Renee Ballard. Centre · 1Screen Rant says Welliver is not expected back in the Prime Video franchise on screen any time soon. It notes that Ballard was renewed for a second season after its first drew strong reviews, and that no release date is confirmed. The season was originally expected in 2026, and Screen Rant guesses it could arrive in early 2027 or late this year.

Centre · 1Screen Rant adds that the prequel Bosch: Start of Watch will recast the character with Monaghan. It lists Welliver's recent work as The Westies, The Night Agent season 4 and Dark Winds season 4.

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
