The story, neutrally told

Centre · 2Amazon released the first official teaser trailer for The Beekeeper 2 on the morning of 15 October 2026, a day after releasing the film's first posters. Centre · 1Amazon MGM has dated the film for release on 15 January 2027. It was originally expected before the end of 2026. Centre · 1Jason Statham returns as Adam Clay, and Jeremy Irons is back from the first film. New cast members include Pom Klementieff, known as Mantis in the Guardians of the Galaxy films, and Adam Copeland, the former WWE wrestler known as Edge.

Centre · 1Timo Tjahjanto directs, replacing David Ayer, who directed the 2024 original but did not return because he is committed to directing Brad Pitt's Heart of the Beast. Centre · 1According to Collider, the plot has the Beekeeper organization going rogue and targeting former operatives, which forces Clay to take down the group that made him. Centre · 1/Film described the trailer as a continuation of the first film's absurd tone. It said Clay now has a souped-up car and wields a flamethrower, and it likened Statham's character to Batman, with Irons in an Alfred-like role.

Centre · 1Collider placed the sequel in the context of Statham's busy 2026, which included Shelter in January and Mutiny. It said neither film did well at the box office but both were among the most-watched on streaming.
