The story, neutrally told

Mixed · 2Two men were killed in south Lebanon's Bint Jbeil district on Sunday 11 October while taking part in the annual olive harvest, according to Lebanese state media and local officials. Mixed · 2The official National News Agency (NNA) said one man was killed in Yater when Israeli shelling "targeted the outskirts of the town while he was inspecting his land and olive harvest"; the Lebanese army blamed Israeli tank fire and called the attacks "a flagrant breach of existing agreements". Right · 1The Yater municipality then urged residents to avoid the town's outskirts and not to cross the earthen barrier separating some unsafe neighbourhoods, for fear of Israeli attacks.

Mixed · 2In the village of Froun, the NNA reported that "a foreign object" left over from earlier Israeli operations exploded and killed an engineer as he and others tended their trees; he had come from Beirut, where he lives, for the harvest, Froun mayor Hassan Bazzi told AFP. Right · 1Residents called off the Froun harvest to wait for the Lebanese army to finish decontaminating the village, Bazzi said. Mixed · 2Hezbollah drew Lebanon into the regional war in early March by attacking Israel in support of Iran; Israel responded with a bombing campaign and ground invasion. Al Jazeera says Lebanese authorities report these have killed more than 4,300 people.

Mixed · 2Since an agreement between Lebanon and Israel in June, violence in the south has lessened but not stopped. AFP, carried by Arab News, says Israeli troops still occupy a band of territory 10 kilometres wide along the border, carry out sporadic strikes and demolitions, and that Hezbollah refuses to submit to government plans to disarm it. Mixed · 2In nearby Jibshit, volunteers from the north came to help locals with the harvest in solidarity; organiser Ahmad Chahhal said: "From north to south, one people and one land."

Every sentence links to the reporting it rests on. The pill in front of each says where its sources sit: Left, Centre or Right when one side supplies at least half of them, Mixed when they are evenly split. The number is how many outlets it cites.
