UN chief Guterres calls for permanent Gaza ceasefire ahead of October 7 anniversary

On Monday 5 October, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for the Gaza ceasefire to become permanent before the third anniversary of the 7 October 2023 Hamas attack. He also urged aid at scale and respect for international law.
