The story, neutrally told

WestEnd Films has boarded world sales on Woody Allen's new feature, which is set to start shooting in Madrid on 5 October. Allen wrote and directs the contemporary comedy, which stars Marton Csokas, Jemima Kirke, Jakob Oftebro, Peter Vives and Alexi Wasser. Principal photography will take place in the city and region of Madrid, in English. It will be Allen's third production shot in Spain, after Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008) and Rifkin's Festival (2020).

Madrid-based Wanda Vision and Allen's banner Gravier Productions are producing with 3SIX9 Studios. The creative team includes José Luis Alcaine, Sonia Grande and Alain Bainée. Allen said they would be very happy to return to Spain, calling Madrid a city they have always loved and the location of their first chance to film there. WestEnd will introduce the film to international buyers at the upcoming American Film Market.

WestEnd handled world sales on Allen's recent films, including Coup de Chance, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival and sold in over 30 countries, and represents a library of 25 Allen titles. WestEnd managing director Maya Amsellem said the company was delighted to continue its long-standing collaboration with Allen and pointed to the strong international response to Coup de Chance.
