The story, neutrally told

Zoe Saldaña, who plays CIA officer Joe McNamara in Taylor Sheridan's series Lioness, said the role is all she can take on from Sheridan at present. She made the remarks to People when asked about appearing in another Sheridan show. Saldaña said she is first on the call sheet, first in and last out, and starts preparing months before anyone else.

Collider adds that she is also an executive producer on the show. She said the three seasons have shown Sheridan she is reliable, and that she is content to stay with Lioness. Fox News says season three ended on Sept. 20 and that Paramount+ has not yet ordered a season four.

Collider quotes Saldaña as unsure whether a fourth season is possible or where Sheridan would take it. Fox News also reports her praise for Sheridan writing Joe without defining the character by gender, and her earlier doubts about whether she could manage the role.
